Fall and Winter
Skiing Mammoth MountainFor those who like to make short jaunts to ski or snowboard “in the neighborhood,” the NI Snowdrifters ski club sponsors two- and three-day weekend trips to Mammoth. In 2011, we will have five trips to Mammoth Mountain starting in the beginning of January and continuing through early April. Mammoth trips are via chartered bus with departures at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. from two convenient locations in San Diego (805 at Governor Dr. and North County.) The 6 1/2 hour transit time to Mammoth is best described as a fun (but not raucous) rolling party. We entertain ourselves along the way with games, movies and socializing. Dinner is served in-transit with complimentary soft drinks and adult beverages. Accommodations are in shared three- and four-bedroom condominiums just steps from Stop 17 on the Mammoth Mountain Red Line shuttle. Couples share private rooms and singles are matched by sex and assigned two per room. Trip fees include transportation to and from Mammoth Mountain, lodging for two or three nights, continental breakfasts, dinners and hosted cocktail parties - with complimentary beverages. Lift tickets are not included. |
