North Island Snowdrifters is a zero drug tolerance club!

Trip Cancellation and Trip Refund Policy

Trip deposits are a minimum of $100, including a $20 non-refundable administrative fee. Full payment for each trip is due and payable not less than 30 days prior to the trip departure. If a member must cancel within the 30 days prior to departure, he or she is subject to a cancellation fee of an additional $30 plus actual charges incurred for lodging, transportation or event fees paid by the club on the member's behalf. If a canceling member is not replaced on a trip, he or she must pay the entire trip cost. If a trip goes full, a canceling member may request consideration for a partial refund from the North Island Snowdrifters Executive Board in writing within 14 days from the start of the trip. The Board may not grant a refund if a trip does not generate enough income to cover the trip.

Activity Cancellation and Activity Refund Policy

All money is due and payable in full, not less than 30 days prior to planned activity, unless a "pay at the door" - or similar - option has been explicitly offered. Sorry no refunds within 14 days of any activity.

Early Departure Policy for Mammoth bus trips

The trip leader will decide the departure time for the last day and provide it in writing to all trip participants at the start of the trip. Any change in that departure time can be made at any time provided that all but one or two trip participants vote to do so. If three or more participants want to stay until the planned departure time, the time will not be changed.

On the last day of the trip, the trip leader must make the decision to leave early if any of the following occurs:

  • The mountain is officially closed
  • Broadway Express (Chair 1) Stump Alley Express (Chair 2) and Gold Rush Express (Chair 19) are closed
  • The roads leading out of mammoth are in danger of being closed by the CHP
  • The bus driver requests an early departure, citing poor weather and road conditions
  • If on the last day, an early departure may be a possibility, the trip leader must ensure that all trip participants are personally notified as soon as possible and instructed on when, where and how to get information throughout the day. If the decision to leave early is made after participants have left for the slopes, the trip leader must post a notice at the Ski Patrol Office, located at the base of Chair 1, detailing where to meet and when the bus will depart. The bus will not leave any trip participant behind, unless directed by the CHP or other law enforcement agency.
